In our last post, we told you about popular celebrities having houses in Dubai (if you haven’t already read it, click here). It’s no co-incidence that two of the huge stars on our list own houses in Palm Jumeirah. There is a reason why these uber-wealthy and spoilt for choice personalities choose to live in this part of the town. And we’ll tell you why.
Palm Jumeirah, as the name suggests, is a Palm shaped man-made island that sits magnificently on Dubai’s coastline. It is one of the iconic landmarks of the city and undoubtedly adds to Dubai’s persona. Built by Nakheel Properties, it is a part of the Palm Islands trilogy which is expected to be completed in the near future. This beautiful man-made creation is made up of 17 fronds (or leaves) and has a vast crescent surrounding it. It’s like a huge resort within Dubai: leisure, entertainment, tourism, you can find everything here!
There are various 5 star hotels on the island such as Fairmont The Palm, One & Only The Palm, Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa to name a few. And how can we forget the glamorous Atlantis The Palm. Whether you live in Dubai or outside, you have definitely heard of this star attraction. One can hardly miss the great fireworks and festivities here on New Year’s Eve!
Among the most posh localities of Dubai, the island has a festive buzz to it throughout the year. When it comes to residential developments, you will be able to find a variety of lavish villas, exquisite garden homes and very high quality apartments. You can find all your favorite retail outlets, eating joints and hang out spots within the vicinity. It is perfect if you want the feel of living in a holiday station. Although, we must mention that for renting or buying property here you will need to keep aside a big budget. The island redefines luxury, and the glitz and glamour come at a price 😉
