Did you know our listaproperty.com office is on the 39th floor of the building? Eeeks! Unless you literally like living in the clouds, it can make you a little light headed up here (note to management: not that we’re complaining! 😛 ). You see, none of us can decide which floor our office is going to be on but we definitely can decide which floor our home is going to be on.
So, if you’ve ever been confused about living on the top floor or opting for the ground/basement level floors of a building, let us help you out! There are a few factors you must keep in mind while choosing the floor to live on:
- Heights. First and foremost, do you have Acrophobia? In simple terms, do you have fear of heights? If yes, then avoid choosing the top most floors in the buildings and opt for the ground floor.
- Access. If you choose to live on the top floors of the building, ensure that there are enough elevators to cater to all the residents. Sometimes, tall buildings have very few elevators causing time delays and stress to the top floor residents. You might also want to ensure that there is a close by fire/stair exit near your apartment.
- Noise. Most of the high rise buildings have stores and cafes located on the ground floors of the building. If you enjoy living amidst the hustle and bustle then you must choose the lower floors otherwise, the top floors are a comparatively peaceful option.
- Security. Living on ground level floors of a building may make your home susceptible to robberies. Always remember to separately check for the security measures provided in the building. If you’re unsure about the safety of your valuables at home, opt for the top most floors of the building.
