Today we keep coming across articles and posts about micro-houses. I have seen these before but today, boom, over and over I keep seeing them. The first post I saw was for Casa Cubica which makes 160 ft2 (14.8 mt2) micro-houses out of old shipping containers. Remarkably, these houses include kitchenette, full bath and laundry. And even provide a roof top deck. Click on link to see full details.
Then I came across the Nomad Micro-Home. This house is even smaller than the Casa Cubica- The Nomad has a blueprint of 9 square meters and includes an upstairs bedroom. This home comes packed and ready to assemble (you thought IKEA was challenging) and can be purchased for only $25,000 CA. Click on the link for full details.
Lastly I came across the Spanish made AHF80. According to the information I read, this house can be “built” in one day. It’s larger than the Nomad or Casa Cubic, as it comes in at 27 sq. m and contains a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. It is pricier than the other models at $42,000 US.
I personally favor Casa Cubica and would be very happy having this as my Red Sea beach retreat or desert get away. All three of these models would actually make a wonderful vacation rental or even guest house. Like the 4th micro-home I saw in one day. Click here for the link.
