Google+ is nifty little tool that we are going to dedicate more time to. Why? Because Google+ can be great for SEO. It’s no secret who runs Google + and that means that virtually everything you add gets indexed into the search results and becomes searchable more quickly. We have noticed a lot of real estate agents in the Middle East are not taking advantage of Google + (and we have room for improvement) and we offer up some tips on how to get started with your google+ account.
In just about one hour you should be able to complete the following:
Step 1: Create a profile. Make sure you complete the “about” section. If you are an individual agent, we highly recommend a good head shot and an interesting cover photo (perhaps one of your great listings). If you are a company, we recommend your logo and an interesting cover photo.
Step Two: Expand your circles. Circles are a collection of contacts and you can create multiple circles. You can choose which circles see what post. So if you are posting about the importance of photographs in online property listings, you can select a circle of sellers and prevent buyers (who are not the target of this post) from being pestered from irrelevant posts.
Step : Write and share your own content. Do you have a blog or have upi just added content to your website? Share it with your circles on Google + who in turn might very well share it with their circles.
Step 4: Share content that others have written. At the bottom of each post is a little arrow. Click on that to share relevant content with people in your circles. This provides your circles with valuable content and helps out contacts within your circles. Please note, only share content that is valuable for your readers.
Step 5: Join Communities. Communities are a great way to network and make connections within the Google+ network. There is a lot of great content available through communities.
Step 6: Log in often. Check in at least once a week to see what is happening and who is sharing your content.
